After you have found your style that best matches you, you can start to look at different companies. Many companies and brands sell a very similar style but with different price tags. Buying off brand products is the best way to save money, but still stay trendy.
Where can I shop for cheaper fashion?
My ultimate favorite is Amazon. Amazon has everything and usually at the price point you want it. This is a great source to find all different types of products. Other stores would be Old Navy, Shein, Jane, and believe it or not Macy’s. Macy’s has some very underrated discounts, that when you find the right one you can score big time.
How do I shop thrift?
Shopping thrift can be hard. I like to keep my standards high when shopping thrift. Never spend more than $15 on thrift clothes, unless they have never been worn. Secondly, know your thrift stores. A thrift store I like to shop is Uptown Cheapskate. Not only do they choose exactly what they want to sell and what they don’t want to sell, they also buy last season’s clothing from other businesses. So you can buy brand new clothing for half of the cost.
How do I know whether to buy brand name or off brand?
This is entirely a personal decision. How I decide is I go and compare. With makeup especially, I will go to Ulta or Sephora and test their products before making a final decision. I will then compare it with the drug store version and see how different they feel. Sometimes I notice a difference, but a lot of the time I do not. The same goes with clothing, most people do not notice if you are wearing the newest Prada bag unless you specifically point it out. They just notice you have a nice purse.
